Human biology question: What's the world record for the highest pressure of a urine stream peed out from a person? How many PSI was it?

Human biology question: What's the world record for the highest pressure of a urine stream peed out from a person? How many PSI was it?

How was it measured and would it be comparable to a powerwash that cleans grime off of sidewalks? If not, what would that record-breaking high-pressure stream of urine be compared to?

Richard Pryor used to say that when he was young he could lie on his bed and piss in the toilet, so there's that.

maybe his bed was his toilet. who knows

No joke, I could piss the ceiling as a kid. I wasn't too bright.

Urethra believer in high pee-si or not. I'm a believer. Don't be a wet blanket around me

infinite jest

This "forceful peeing" is apparently very bad for women's bladder and indicative of weakness. Says my friend who is a pelvic floor therapist... here is thiught I had a cool party trick. 🥲

oh nice. good to know my pelvic floor is doing well then.

I don’t think it’s that it’s coming out with much more force, the female muscle group there isn’t bigger than males. It just comes out in a larger stream.

[–]rayray1927 23 points

I don’t think SharkDoctor is comparing it to males.

We have to hover and squat so it only seems like it’s louder. It’s more of the echo of water hitting water in a chamber.

(This sounds scientific, right?)

[–][deleted] 6 points

This sounds scientific as heck!

But no, seriously, some of these women are really pushing. I don't sound like that when I pee.

[–]LadybugGirltheFirst 4 points

Maybe they’ve had to hold it for a while between rest stops.

Women who hover are the ones getting piss on the seat, it's annoying.

[–]LadybugGirltheFirst -9 points

I hover, and I’ve never gotten any on the seat. Calm down.

[–]BeardsuptheWazoo 6 points

Why don't you just put toilet paper down on the seat and sit on that?

[–]LadybugGirltheFirst -4 points

Why don’t you just not worry about how I pee in a public bathroom?

[–]BeardsuptheWazoo 10 points

You're right, I'm really barging into your personal life on this public format where you willingly volunteered that you hover. How incredibly invasive of me! Clutching of pearls commences

How could she have gotten the angle to pee up without lying on the floor?

[–]First_Code_404 1 point

Oops, missed that part. She dropped her pants, crossed her ankles, bent over, then peed. It was like a powerful fountain.

I've had pisses like this, scrambling like a madman to get your dick out in time and pissing so hard the water comes right back up at you

[–]Wratheon_Senpaibio enthusiast 2 points

Hm, is that an airline thing? I've been on planes that had the bathroom open even before we took flight.

[–]Inevitable-High905 2 points

On this particualar one, they didn't let anyone in the toilet even when boarding. It was quite a few years ago though, so protocols might've changed

Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in awhile.

Or watched in a long while.

Squirting and peeing are not the same thing

[–]Prancing-Hamster 28 points

Just google “woman pisses off”.

[–]ethidium_bromide 7 points

I’m starting to understand why it smelled so strongly when walking by the guys bathrooms at school

It would probably be easiest to head on over to your nearest water sports sub tbh.

Honestly, it's more of a theoretical "wow" factor than something practically comparable. Still fun to think about though! 😜

Though it wasn't recorded at the time, I'd bet on Giles Corey in 1692.

Well at least we can model that by just a dam So the pressure formula, or the Torricelli formula for speed. So on earth it is p=patm + (bladder_depth)/10. 10 being gravitational constant

Or by speed v=sqrt(2 times 10 times bladder_depth)

But all this does not take into account the potential muscle contraction but OP did not mention that

Access to different resources? Strange/cool facts people have randomly stored in their memory. Your comment is unnecessary.

You could be right.
