Son Of WAY contrafactum: Just One

 * Big John

** Contrafactum #584 of "Big John by Jimmy Dean.
** This contrafactum is about how a grouchy old lady in her upper 50s to lower 60s is hiring JUST ONE employee at a convenience store in Junction City, Kansas in 2003 or 2004, when the singer was looking to work anywhere.
** I thought of when the manager told me "Just One" every now and again since that job search in the early-mid 2000s, and eventually, I thought of the tune to "Big John" when I thought of the phrase "Just One."
** The instrumentation needs to be altered to sound like popular music released in 2003 or 2004.

* Videos of the original tune
**

**

* Music video ideas
** Show a slideshow / collage / montage of either one convenience store employee or a manager with one convenience store employee
** The convenience store should be rented for a video shoot of actors / actresses acting out a convenience store scene when budgets improve - the job applicant asks for an application and the manager says she's hiring JUST ONE assistant.

* Lyric ideas
** All occurrences of "Big John" is to be replaced with "Just One" and "Big Bad John" is to be replaced with "It's Just One" or "Hire Just One."

* LYRICS
** (To be penned sometime.)

  • Final Walk To Their Office (As Their Worker)
    • Parody of "Malaguena" by Michael Lucarelli
    • The parody is intended to be about the employee's final dreadful walk to the office before their termination.
  • Music video ideas

  • No Call, No Show
    • Parody of "Disney Sing Along Songs Theme" by Disney, Inc.

Son of W.A.Y. parody: Your (Job) Probation Period Is 90 Days

  • Your (Job) Probation Period Is 90 Days
    • Contrafactum of "Partridge Family Theme - Come On Get Happy" by David Cassidy
    • The contrafactum is to sing about how job probation periods cause new employees to have more eggshells to walk on since they need fewer missteps to get fired than other employees do who have been around more than 90 days.
  • Music video ideas
    • Once budget allows, a conversation between a manager and a new-ish employee, while wearing employee uniforms or nametags, ought to be included in a music video.
