Son of W.A.Y. parody: Working at Collins Bus

  • Working at Collins Bus
    • Contrafactum of "It Was A Good Day" by Ice Cube
    • This contrafactum is to be about what it's like to work at Collins Bus, and perhaps the perks and benefits of being an employee there. (Negative aspects, such as the lack of air conditioning on the production floor, should be saved for another version that's not intended to market the company. There ought to be two versions of this song.)
    • This tune was thought up when I temped there through Manpower for 6 days. The movement of the buses through a self-propelled "assembly line" made me think of the song "It Was A Good Day" even though the days there were hardly good in my humble opinion.

    • A montage of photos and videos of anything pertaining to employment at Collins Bus is to be shown in the music vid.
    • As budgets improve, if permission can be secured, dancers can be hired to sing and dance on-location at the Collins Bus Plant, both inside and outside on the premises. They may also pretend to assemble buses while they dance and sing the lyrics at the same time.

Son of W.A.Y. parody: Your (Job) Probation Period Is 90 Days

  • Your (Job) Probation Period Is 90 Days
    • Contrafactum of "Partridge Family Theme - Come On Get Happy" by David Cassidy
    • The contrafactum is to sing about how job probation periods cause new employees to have more eggshells to walk on since they need fewer missteps to get fired than other employees do who have been around more than 90 days.
  • Music video ideas
    • Once budget allows, a conversation between a manager and a new-ish employee, while wearing employee uniforms or nametags, ought to be included in a music video.
