Unless the property manager mandates me to remove the doorbell and take it with me on my next move, I intend to let it stay at my old apartment.

What is the process like, of transferring the control and video feed of that video doorbell to the next tenant and their account?

Have you successfully transferred ownership of your prior Ring doorbells to the next tenant / homeowner? How did you make that happen?

Why? Ring devices can’t be connected to two accounts at once. You reset it and add it on your account.

Genuine question; is there a specific reason you want to leave it behind ?

But either way you just remove it from the account in the app so they can add it.

Though as a heads up not sure about your appartment but one that i lived in anything left behind 100% if it was of value the Inhouse Supers would just take it for themself. Not sure if you know of anyone who wants it if you really dont but might be a nice passing gift unless its your worried about removing it and showing damage.

sounds like a good way to always make sure newest; but yes just remove from account

I’d just keep it and use it for something else if you’re planning to stay in the ring ecosystem. A back door, etc. I had an old one that I kept just in case and it came in handy doing a secret sting operation for a mailbox vandal.

I just did this and left for new owners as well as some cameras. I went into each device to reset them and removed them from my account.
