It's because, in 1948, our entire solar system was passing through an oort cloud that broke off from the zarsparrow446 nebula; Earth got hit particularly hard as it passed through an intense pocket in late June.

All babies in utero during that hit developed a very strange ability. They instantly knew if something was illegal or not. Many became police officers or lawyers, and a few became criminals, using their ability to skirt the fine line between legal and illegal.

But a very small percentage had a second ability.. they could not only see the legality of any action but could also see the future of any person committing an illegal action .. These individuals will often interact with those they see committing minor crimes in order to watch their future change in real-time. somtimes with ulterior motives.. but usually just to fuck with them, mess around with their future in minor ways.

Most likely, he just got a kick out of watching future you come running to reddit to cry about it.

I think you are just generalizing here. What proof do you have that only a “Boomer” would tell you this? Or that no cop would ever care about you doing this? There are opinionated jerks in every generation. And if what you did was really illegal then saying no cop would ever care about you doing it is just wishful thinking on your part.

There are also people in every generation who believe that when someone does something that they know is wrong or unlawful, it is their responsibility to point it out or warn them. Sometimes they do it inoffensively. Other times they don’t

If what you did is illegal and you know it is illegal, then it sounds like you are trying to blame this guy rather than accept you did something wrong. It may feel better temporarily to focus on someone’s bad attitude, rather than your wrong behavior. But that eventually catches up n with you.

I ( early 60’s) have parked the way you describe and have had younger people warn me I could be ticketed. Sometimes people are just trying to give you a heads up.

If it didn't sound like he was being mean-spirited, he was probably just trying to let you know that you could get ticketed for it.

Traffic laws vary from place to place, and sometimes there are laws on the books that aren't reinforced all the time, but might still end up getting someone ticketed. In my area most of the young people don't seem to realize that you can get a ticket for parking facing the wrong way at the curb of suburban neighborhood houses, even if you live in the house in question. Most of the time the cops don't ticket people for that, but some occasionally do. It was more common for them to give out tickets for it back in the 1990s and before, so a lot of the middle age and older folks are well aware of the law. Most younger ones don't seem to know about it, though.
