Why did a Boomer who appeared to be born in 1948 tell me this?: "You know that J-turn you just made to park right there? That is illegal!" Why would no one else from any other generation tell me the same thing?

Why did a Boomer who appeared to be born in 1948 tell me this?: "You know that J-turn you just made to park right there? That is illegal!" Why would no one else from any other generation tell me the same thing?

I went Southbound to deliver a meal to a customer in an apartment building, then turned to a parking stall that was on the Northbound side to park in front of it. Boomer said that was illegal. Well, why does no cop seem to care then? And why does no one else from other generations care either?

I had to Google to find out what a J turn is. Are you sure that's what they said?

And if you did do a J turn, it is indeed quite illegal

"A "J-turn" in driving, also known as a "Rockford turn" or a reverse 180, is a maneuver where a vehicle reverses, spins 180 degrees, and then continues forward in the same direction, often used in car chases or tactical driving. "

I've never heard of a J turn before.

That’s not what a J turn means

Let me just let you know that just because nobody has ever told you to not do something doesn’t mean it’s fine and dandy to do it.

One person at one time said this to you, and you are condemning a whole generation?

Some people experience delight when beating people over the head with rules they didn't make. It makes them feel powerful and authoritative as they wander adrift through their miserable lives.

It's the moral sophistication of an 8yo.
