What are your managers like? Are Jimmy John's franchise owners required to hire managers with angry dispositions?

I couldn't stand one manager at the Jimmy Johns that I worked at, that has since been shut down. I heard that a lot of people quit because of her, and she is likely the reason why the rest of the employees walked out of the local Jimmy John's, causing it to shut down.

I was told by a good friend who also worked there, that her mother was not the best mother, therefore she was also a bully throughout their schooling years. I feel sorry for her future children, if she ever has any. I wish somebody would find a way to end that cycle of abuse.

So anyways, what are the corporate policies about the kinds of managers they need to hire? Are the managers not allowed to be sweet and friendly?

Anyways, what are your managers like?

the owner is here pretty much everyday and doesn’t care what she does as long as hes making money

Our GM doesn't live up to his job title at all. He, unlike the job title "General Manager" suggests, is pretty specific about managing. As for our Assistant Manager, he's a lil bitch boy who can't even beat one of our newest inshops in an arm wrestle

Jk, you know I love you, Damien you weak bitch

Unless it's a corporate store, which I'm assuming it's not and that it's a franchise which is individually owned, there are no policies you basically just need to be over 18 and not burn the store down. Seems like she was just awful.
