I'd be concerned they'd mow over something without noticing.

It's not going to work very well on a mower with the vibrations and on a push mower where you have to stop and change directions often. Just listen to a podcast or one of the channes that reads reddit posts.

I wouldn't think one thing about it.

Now me, personally, my mowing time is my break from the world. Just me and the mower. I wear ear plugs or muffs (no music), I don't have to talk to anyone, and I don't have to interact with an electronic device. It's pure bliss.

But you do you, hoss. No one cares or even notices.

Id be wondering why they can't unplug even when outside literally touching grass.

Mowing for me is therapeutic. It's my chance to disengage from everything and just be by myself for awhile.

My first thought is that they maybe are listening to music or keeping an eye on the score of a game, or maybe keeping an eye on a baby monitor for a napping child or something. Those would be my first thoughts.

Yo, how would you pay attention to the grass?? This is like driving w your phone out, like why would you do that?? Just hire someone to do it at that point bc you're gonna have to go back and redo a bunch of parts since you weren't paying attention.

If you were keeping it there to listen to music, that would be one thing. But. You're trying to read? No one can multitask that well.

Well, seeing as I have a phone mount on my zero turn.….

It’s actually fantastic. It’s far easier to change music, videos, check the time or texts, read the news, etc while on the fly. My phone case came with a belt holder… well, I rarely wear pants with a belt, and I’m not 60 years old, so I usually just used it as a kickstand. Ended up taking some string and tying it around the handlebars, and then taping it to keep it from rotating around too much. Works great.

When I mow I will put my phone in the holder, turn it vertical, select a YouTube video or show or something, then turn it horizontal and listen while I go, and if there is a part I want to look at it for, then I can.

I’m not an idiot with it, I meant my mower only goes 6 or 7 mph, and I’m pretty good on the things and don’t mow anywhere that has too many hidden obstacles, so it’s not too hard to multitask between the two, but I still slow down or stop to mess with it. I feel it’s also different on a rider than on a push mower. On a rider, I’m doing a lot less to control the machine, and the phone is right next to my hand, and I can easily drive the thing with one hand. I feel like on a push mower it would be a lot harder to use both at once.

I would assume that they’re listening to music and need to see who’s calling them. Assume that they’re reading the news or watching TV or whatever off their phone. I would like one just for the exact reason.
