You know how the standard of living of all countries now are better than our standard of living back in Bible times, right? Well, don't you think Heaven and Hell would have developed just as much since then?

You know how the standard of living of all countries now are better than our standard of living back in Bible times, right? Well, don't you think Heaven and Hell would have developed just as much since then?

Due to inventions intended to make lives easier that have been invented since Bible times, is both Heaven and Hell even better to live in now than they were during bible times?

After all, some engineers and HVAC workers have also gone to Hell, so inevitably, they would have worked on inventing air conditioning down there.

As well as methods to synthesize water from the air (like the moisture vaporators on Star Wars' Tatooine.)

When Steve Jobs went to Hell in 2011, he continued his corporate vision by also developing and manufacturing Apple products down there, now Hell is a little better to live in due to his Apple products.

...and I could go on for hours.

Anyways, what do you know about the way Heaven & Hell was in Bible times, and the way Heaven & Hell is today?

This subreddit NEVER ceases to amaze me with the creativity of questions LMAO do you think in hell they keep the iOS up to date at the same rate as they do on earth?

I wonder if they still use typewriters in hell, or maybe they moved onto computers

They were stuck with typewriters that jammed all the time but since windows 11 and it’s AI bullshit came out they’ve immediately upgraded to that. Also every app and program requires a subscription that auto renews.

Wait…all Buddhists go to hell?!

You really think of spiritual reward in very, um basic terms huh?

What makes you think Heaven and Hell are physical places with physical things like air conditioning and computers?

All of the possible afterlives, according to my beliefs, only exist spiritually, with no physical aspect. There’s no ‘standard of living’ in the afterlife because no one there is alive.

But if these places were physical, I’d expect Hell to be making everyone who grew up without computers to do pointless paperwork on the most unintuitive, crash prone operating system possible while everyone who did live with computers had to write out their forms in triplicate with a quill pen.

The application of the Myth of Progress to Heaven and Hell. Is Hell becoming progressively more and more tormenting or estranged from God? Is heaven becoming more and more closer to God?

No!

Life in heaven is soo much better than on earth that there is basically no difference between a poor life on earth and a luxurious life on earth. Compared to heaven both look the same.

After all, some engineers and HVAC workers have also gone to Hell, so inevitably, they would have worked on inventing air conditioning down there.

In hell, nobody will be doing what they were doing on earth, weather it's working, relaxing or mocking. In hell, everybody will be just suffering.

...and I could go on for hours.

But not indefinitely.

Anyways, what do you know about the way Heaven & Hell was in Bible times, and the way Heaven & Hell is today?

It's the same.
