there was a guy at my mcdonald’s who would use 3 different accounts to pick up 3 $1 breakfast sandwiches everyday. All the accounts had the same name and we knew to just go with it when he pulled through and said “3 mobile orders for J”. No one cares.

Every fast food place is like this. You create multiple accounts and use the app. They won't stop him because they aren't losing money- the promotion is to lure you in and spend $$$

In fact it's much more of a hassle to continuously make new accounts with new emails etc.

Trust me I've done this before(when I was homeless) it comes in clutch when you haven't eaten anything in 2 days 😂

A local gas station has a points system and for like 4 months you could "redeem" those points for things but it wouldn't take the points away. I didn't pay for milk or eggs for those 4 months. They should pay IT well to avoid these types of things from happening

Had one guy come order a cheeseburger and a medium fry 2 days a week every week. 2 hours later (yes i timed it) like clockwork hed call the store saying it was made wrong or the fries were cold or one of a thousand other excuses and refused to come back to the store the same day to get it fixed because he lived in the next town over but he would agree to get credit for the same thing or something equivalent. So i would always leave a note for the manager whenever he comes back what the excuse was and the order all that jazz, when the time came hed argue saying he wanted a refund instead of credit, given its a whole nother day thats doable but raises a couple eyebrows. Then like clockwork later in the week hed come in and repeat. When i caught on i followed it a little and documented it to the best of my ability. I actually wrote down the serial number on a few of the bills i gave him ("ill be back i have to grab change from the back" and made a note of them) and checked them when he came back he was using the exact refund for the next meal, he had a paper divider in his wallet for the refund money. Several times in a row he used the same bills i gave him, now i know theres a chance he didnt spent it but over a few day span is doubtful that every bill matched. Brought it up to my gm as im a new manager and he ran it up the chain of the franchise. The direction i was told was since theres no hard proof all i could do was say i could no longer give him refunds because of the frequency, which i did. He then accepted the store credit and doubled down keeping the same schedule just doing it more often. Which i brought up to the gm and i was told to not serve him period and he sent out an alert to all the stores in the area. Didnt go farther than that but considering it was so long, and so frequent that it raised a few brows he got away with at least several hundred worth of free food

If a guy was doing this and being rude at the same time, as a manager I’d probably kick him out. Never had that issue though. Had some kid come stand in the store and just keep ordering whatever free sandwich they give you, he’d do it for 15-20 minutes probably. Not my problem.

we keep getting calls from people pretending to be with corporate or main office trying to access our systems or get us to take money to them(all very bad connections or in Spanish while we are in USA) and they've never succeeded, except once a new manager almost did what they said bc he spoke Spanish and was WAY too trusting and we hadn't given him the Scammer Speech™.

my favorite has been "do you know who I am?? I'm dead franchise owner" and I started cackling before I remembered I needed to hang up

we had a guy who came in a couple times a week and says something along the lines of "last time i was here, i ordered two hashbrowns and only got one". for a while he got away with it, mostly due to the fact that morning shift is all just graduated high schoolers who dont gaf and the manager just wants customer satisfaction. he came in on a manager's bad day, tried to pull the forgotten hashbrown trick and got told to either never come back or pay for 30 hashbrowns that he's gotten for free
