Remember the U-Drive-It feature of Sim City 4? Well, why didn't it allow me to drive through parking lots in order to bypass heavy traffic?

Also, those illegal corner gas station shortcuts, also to bypass traffic and red lights?

We could drive on the roads, and off-road, but not on gas stations and parking lots?? Why did the developers of Sim City 4 "forget" to enable the ability to do so?

Have the descendant games of Sim City 4 fixed that problem? Do they have anything similar to U-Drive-It missions? How are they better than Sim City 4's version?

You can drive it around with a mod on PC, but the performance is extremely dogwater...

The only “lot" is IA but not it's actual building (unless you deleted it)

They need to make some roads/pathfinding can be generated automatically with the parking lots spawned, also create hit boxes of those objects inside like random parked cars, which was impossible at 2003 because at that age, a top gaming PC only got 1GB RAM...

If you drive a tank you can blow up a building and drive through the rubble. That will allow you to cut the corner.

I mean, you can drive on the shoulder. Isn't that enough?!

Even sidewalks and center medians are fair game. It’s an auto insurer’s nightmare

Drive on the sidewalk like a normal person

Me when attempting to drive a U-Drive-It truck up one of the Totally Normal Inclines in my city that doesn't have a slope mod or NAM (the incline is literally 45°)
