How are we coming along with pulling retired and mothballed military hardware out of long-term storage and sending them to Ukraine?

What old military hardware that we don't want / need anymore have we sent to Ukraine, and will send there?

Are there still any M60 Pattons in storage? Will we ever send them to Ukraine? How about other old and mothballed military hardware?

And if we have aircraft and helicopters getting retired and otherwise sent to the Boneyard, how about they get sent to Ukraine instead? For example: How come I haven't heard of old B-52s getting sent to Ukraine? Some AH-64 Apaches are getting old, so how are we coming on sending those to our Ukrainian friends?

And what can you share about plans regarding other retired and mothballed old military hardware and whether they're getting sent to Ukraine?

Right?

If there are still a lot of M60 Pattons taking up a lot of storage space, I'm pretty sure Ukraine would have great use for them.

I would also support sending reject t-shirts and other clothes to Africa for that reason as well.

If our old military hardware will help Ukrainians improve their chances of kicking the Russians out of their lands, then I wholeheartedly would support sending said old military hardware to them.

You got some critical theory issues to work out.

Old military hardware isn't winning a war. Sending garbage to another country because we don't want it solves very little.

Like, I'm going to be hyperbolic: why isn't USA sending nukes to Ukraine to help end the war? Too much? Okay why isn't USA sending garbage they can pile up into a wall to prevent tank movement?

"But it'll help improve their chances so why not"

We were sending a bunch of equipment and ammunition, once the new President took over most of that stopped because reasons.

I mean, just yesterday he said Ukraine started it- as if that's factually true or something... so I don't see him sending gear over there, especially with his history with Russia.

I'm not looking to get into a political argument about this shit, I'm just stating factual information. Do with that what you will.

I personally am old enough to remember the USSR as the great enemy and grew up during the cold war. I know how we got to where we are with all this, sometimes I still don't believe that we've fallen so far from where we were just forty years ago.

Why? We have already sent them billions in funds and munitions, why should we send them all of our unused equipment? It really doesn’t make any sense.

Because the ukrainians will have a lot of uses for our old and no longer used equipment, and nobody else. At least nobody else to my knowledge.

Also, because continuing to store and mothball our old Hardware will continue to cost money in maintenance funds. Once they are given away to ukraine, we won't have to worry about continuing to pay for their storage and maintenance anymore.

Idk about that, the military isn’t very keen on getting rid of old stuff. Plus I don’t see all of that old gear really getting put to good use, especially since that war needs to end with a diplomatic solution, a battle of attrition isn’t the smartest plan when one country outnumbers you 50 to 1.
