ELI5: How can I turn off my tendency to let my mind wander when I have to listen to anything important?
Letting my mind wander while I'm trying to listen to a future date talk during a dinner or whatever date, is not going to bode well for our relationship.
I would also appreciate it if I would be able to just focus in on 100% of the lecture, whether it's a church sermon, or something educational from a lengthy YouTube video. Or from an audiobook played on YouTube.
So who here has effective tips on how to effectively turn off my mind wandering tendencies so that I can focus on any important message? Even the messages that don't feel as important, but are still helpful in one way or another?
