My Cube ACR call recorder only records my voice when my 2018 Prius Prime broadcasts the call on its Bluetooth audio system. It doesn't record the other party's voices. How come, and how do I fix that?

Or is the only way to "fix" that by taking it off my Toyota's Bluetooth and have it just broadcast from my phone's speaker?

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 in case that's relevant.

Why can't the Cube ACR call recorder pick up the other callers' voices when the car's Bluetooth is actively broadcasting the call? What are some good recommended remedies for this?

Sorry, this is not the right subreddit for a vehicle-related electrical/lighting question.

Note, that 'vehicle electrics' includes LED lighting and that is also not covered here.

Here's our posting rules addendum for vehicle-related topics:

Please use a vehicle repair / modifications subreddit - there's some guidance in our wiki, if needed.

Thanks

Are you looking for a fix to apply to the electronic circuitry or just general tech support?

Sorry, this is not the right place then. Try the vehicle modding subs. There's some guidance in our Wiki.

Try a test call with the phone closer to the car speaker. It should pick that up.

At a guess, it is recording at the microphone and speaker level within the phone. Since BT bypasses the speaker. No recording. It probably is recording the audio from the caller through the microphone but not well enough to be heard.

Your question was removed because it is asking for general use, buying or setup advice for consumer item (TV, audio, phone, computer, replacement power adapters...) or an electronic module/board with no design intent.

This subreddit is for questions about practical component-level electronic engineering and related topics (designing or repairing an electronic circuit, components, suppliers, tools and equipment).
