Some kid poster who is either a late Gen-Z or even a Gen Alpha doesn't know what a coaxial cable is. Makes me seem pretty old, too.

Don't make posts shitting on other generations for not knowing something they didn't grow up with. That makes you a terrible person and isn't tolerated here.

To everyone else reading this, if you see a post like this, report it. Shitting on other people helps noone. Be better.

And it's still called a C: drive to this day because in the early days of PC's, the started w/ one floppy, which was the A: drive, then they added a second floppy, which was the B: drive. When they added a hard drive, it was naturally the C: drive, as those early machines still had at least one, if not two floppy drives. The C: drive was the boot drive (although you could boot from the A: drive, w/ a bootable floppy inserted), and there's way too much OS code that hard references the C: drive, so that designation has hung on.

Big upgrade from the flat 2 wire to antennae

That's the stuff!

Wow, the wire AND caliper with Vernier scale…sexy, that’s one that’d take a day to explain

Dude in the post whining that "we still use them for internet!"

Well, not necessarily. If you have DSL you won't. If you mobile wireless either at home or simply on your phone you won't.

If one reads all the comments, before posting sure. But this is reddit and that doesn't always happen.

DSL requires a phone land line, which is harder to find than coax cable / internet.
