I read that a new in-game media player is entering the game so players can play anything that can get played by Windows Media Player. This way, can other players hear what music someone's playing with it, just like if someone plays a stereo nearby?
no. only you can hear your music. man...what a lag storm that would be...
Ok then. If we can "appraise" other players, can we see the name of the music that they'd be playing right then? And if we asked for that music file and they accepted, would they be able to upload it to the other player?
this isn't Kazaa. | |||||||||||
It's only a windows media player skin in game... not a file sharing program.
It would be nice if a File-Sharing utility was also added to the WMP in-game skin. Where exactly do I send suggestions to the Devs of TMO?
it's MxO, and don't forget, it's Warner Bros. there's no way in HELL they would put a file-sharing prog in, not to mention tha lag it would cause.
Originally posted by Wharg0ul Do you think it'll become what I wish for it to be by 2015? The issues of lag will be 99.9% more nonexistant than now (methinks). Games will keep improving themsleves so they're better than the other, so sooner or later, an MMORPG will have in-game file-sharing utilities, as well as a "stereo mode", so other players can hear your music nearby. There should also be volume controls, so if you're hosting a party, you can turn it up real loud, but if you're somewhere else, admins, GMs, (or whatever they're called) could enforce "noise ordinance laws" like cops do in RL. As for those with explicit lyrics, they could still be allowed in-game, but only in certain areas so anyone who doesn't want to hear it knows not to set foot into that place. Otherwise, "lyric laws" could get enforced as well. The ability to have other players hear your music in-game would kick 455!! That would be |_|ß3®-1337!!!
I would love for the functionality to have music playing in the clubs, that I picked, I am a goth/industrial DJ in real life and think it would be pretty cool to "spin" a set in an exile club or whatever.
Wasnt that one of the things that they said was gonna happen ?? real dj's in clubs or somthing i dont play mxo b ut i think i read they have radio stations and stuff i wonder how hard it would be to get on there Im a drum and bass dj myself that would rock to play on radio even for mxo clubs are just icing on the cake ^^ ill have to read up on it
| |||||||||||
yea they have a radio station that has partys in clubs, its called radiofreezion but they dont have like... real djs who make thier own music, they just take requests and such from all the players through the dj's RSI's.(characters) but a lot of big name factions have thier own radio stations, and a lot of people hate radiofreezion for ruining in game events (grrr, invalesco and winterbrood ) |
