Car horns that honk ringtones

We got tired of the old brick-phones' cliché rings, so someone got the idea to make them ringtonable by having the user download music onto it and choose them to play when someone calls.

In traffic, we're still stuck with the same, tired horns.

I think rush-hour and traffic jams would be far more entertaining to other motorists if I could play "The Legend of Zelda: Overworld Theme" through my horn.

If we can add more variety to our phones, why not add them to our cars???

I guess if nobody else has bothered to make car horns ringtonable, then maybe I should build a prototype of a ringtonable car horn.

But if somebody has, where can I buy them?

UPDATE: Cracked.com goes over them on #6 in this article.

Hey bro, people have horns that honk songs all over the place. People who like to annoy others, like to do this and honk a lot.

A HORN IS A SAFETY FEATURE. Its not something to screw around with just for the hell of it.

  3. Yes, I've heard horns that honk "Tequila" and "Dixie," but can laptops wirelessly upload MP3s onto those? I think not.

I'm talking about horns that can either receive a thumb-drive on its USB port and upload the songs from that, or receive MP3s wirelessly from a laptop or phone. Then the horn would be able to play whatever song the owner wants it to.

Horns are still a safety feature. They exist to warn people of danger. They do not exist for motorists to play with.

Welcome to Fluther, by the way. You'll find it a lot different from Answerbag and Askville, so stick around and see how you'll like it.
