Pokémon-themed bedroom doesn't belong to a child, or a teen, but a 40 y.o. man-child who is also sometimes a "Mantine" (Gen 2 Pokémon pronounced 'man-teen.') If this doesn't scream "Neckbeard!," then I don't know what it screams.

OP, if this is your bedroom, this is not neckbeard behavior at all.

Neckbeard behavior is when you demean women or have no social graces. For example, if you called women who like Pokemon "sluts" who just get into the hobby of gaming to get laid.

As for getting out of debts, that is a good goal for everyone. Don't be afraid of your hobbies. I'd rather have a wonderful partner who loves me and cares for me that is in Pokemon that a guy who cheats who is in trad-"masculine" hobbies like sports.

But as a word of advice, try not to write in the third-person. You come off as being someone else who is critiquing yourself.
