I almost bet on the next Pope's regnal name on the Kalshi betting app. I was going to bet "Other" because I thought the next Pope was Peter II / Petrus Romanus, but Kalshi didn't accept bets late at night.

I would've lost $25 otherwise. We have an American Pope now - Leo XIV, formerly Robert Francis Prevost.
I'm proud to be an American as a result, and also relieved that I can use my betting money on something else now.
